Rachel “Shelley” Zacharia Brier

Rachel “Shelley” Zacharia Brier is a teacher and specialist in the Orton-Gillingham method of teaching reading. She is the Founder and Director of Tutoring for Children, Ltd., a company that provides educational services for child actors working in the theater, film and music industries.

Mrs. Brier received her MA in Elementary Education from Hofstra University, her BA in Elementary Education from New York University, and her Alphabetic Phonics training from Columbia University. Lighthouse Guild has been one of Mrs. Brier’s charitable affiliations for many years. She is a member of PETA, the North Castle Citizen Corps Council in Armonk, and supports The Sephardic Temple of Cedarhurst.

Mrs. Brier has played a key role in planning and bringing to fruition a groundbreaking, collaborative precision medicine research initiative with scientists at UCLA, University of Chicago, and Massachusetts General.
