Brian Dever
Brian Dever joined Lighthouse Guild in October 2020, as the Chief Development Officer. Mr. Dever brings over 20 years of nonprofit leadership and development experience to the position, and his focus is on expanding and deepening philanthropic support for the critical work of Lighthouse Guild.
Prior to this position, Mr. Dever was a part of Let’s Get Ready – an organization working to empower and support students from low-income and first-generation college backgrounds on the path to and through college. He was the organization’s first Director of Development and served in a number of roles over the course of his tenure – helping to build Let’s Get Ready into a leader in the field – while engaging over 14,000 students annually. Prior to Let’s Get Ready, Mr. Dever served as the Executive Director of the Northfield Union of Youth.
A resident of Brooklyn, Mr. Dever volunteers with the Red Hook Initiative. He is a former member of Blue Engine’s Board of Engineers, and volunteered with the NYC Venture Philanthropy Fund, iMentor, and ioby. Mr. Dever was also a member of the New York Community Trust’s first cohort of Leadership Fellows.
Mr. Dever received a BA from Carleton College in Minnesota. While in college, he received the Sister Pat Kowalski Leadership Award for his work with service-learning in Minnesota.
