Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Visual Dysfunction
About this program
Divided into four parts, this one-hour program covers the range of visual dysfunctions associated with traumatic brain injury (TBI), which may create or exacerbate the physical and cognitive symptoms seen in TBI, particularly mild cases. Learn about approaches to identify and assess visual dysfunction and impairment in patients with TBI and how to differentiate and address visual symptoms from other symptoms related to brain injury.
The program is presented by four health care professionals whose practices concentrate in treating patients with low vision: neurologist Helen Chang, MD; low vision optometrist Andrea Zimmerman, OD, FAAO; occupational therapist Inna Babaeva, OT, PhD; and clinical psychologist Laura Newman, PhD.
