May is Healthy Vision Month: Bikers Riding to Raise Awareness of Eye Health
New York— Bikers who are visually impaired, family members, friends, and staff, will be biking with Team Lighthouse Guild in the 2023 TD Five Boro Bike Tour on Sunday, May 7, to increase awareness about the importance of eye health. A participating charity partner in the bike tour, Team Lighthouse Guild, will gather at 6:30 a.m. at the corner of Worth & Broadway, and will be in the 7 a.m. starting line-up.
Over five million Americans are blind or visually impaired and millions more are at risk. Team Lighthouse Guild’s goal is to raise awareness of the importance of early identification and prevention of vision loss. Team Lighthouse Guild’s riders will also be raising funds to support the programs and services of Lighthouse Guild.
