A Visionary Evening, Full of Inspiration

We hosted our annual Palm Beach “A Visionary Evening” at Club Colette on February 28, 2023. The gala honored distinguished philanthropists, Jacqueline Weld Drake and James R. Borynack. Over 160 guests came together in support of Lighthouse Guild’s mission and programs and more than $500K was raised. Jacqueline and James both eloquently spoke about the mission of Lighthouse Guild, and we are grateful for their leadership.

One highlight of the evening was a speech by Sydney, a participant in Lighthouse Guild’s Tele-Support Program and a young leader. Sydney shared how she has made friends and grown with Lighthouse Guild’s support, and she shared her plans to pursue a law degree and sports management. Learn more about Sydney

The evening also included entertainment provided by The Alex Donner Orchestra and the presentation of Lighthouse Guild’s International Ambassador at Large role to Jennifer Fischer. Jennifer has been a champion of Lighthouse Guild’s work, particularly the potential for transformative change through assistive technology, and she steps into the role held for more than 40 years by Arlene Dahl.

The 2023 Palm Beach event was a profound success, and it will help make possible Lighthouse Guild’s essential programs and services for thousands of people who are visually impaired.
