October 15, 2021

Network includes over 550 participants from 44 states

NEW YORK (Oct. 15, 2021) – In recognition of World Sight Day, Lighthouse Guild has received a grant from Janssen Global Services, LLC for its National Tele-Support Network. The national network provides programs and resources for parents, teens, young adults and adults with vision loss. By offering social support via phone or online for people across the country, the network empowers participants to reach their full potential.

The tele-support groups meet on an ongoing basis and meetings are facilitated by licensed professionals with input from experts in the field of vision loss.

“The National Tele-Support Network provides practical care and a sense of community with participants sharing common life experiences,” said Calvin W. Roberts, MD, President & CEO of Lighthouse Guild. “We thank Janssen Global Services, LLC, for their generous donation to support people who are visually impaired and their families, and we are pleased to partner with them in celebrating World Sight Day.”
